Benjamin Thomas Reese, 75, of Midlothian, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Born in Richmond, VA, he was the son of the late Benjamin Harry Reese and Claire Ann Browning Reese.
He is survived by his daughter, Christy Bryant (Mark Whitehead); son, Sean Reese; grandchildren, Leilani Bryant and Jake Whitehead; brother, Wayne Reese (Linda); nephew, Jason Reese; cousin, Tony Nino; and special friend, Dennis "Ruggy" Arendal.
Ben was a methodical man and took pride in having a routine and being on time. He had a knack for numbers, and he used those talents in his career. His work ethic was second to none. When able, he enjoyed playing card games and golfing with his buddies who gave him the nickname, Beasley. He had a soft spot for dogs and would serve treats to the neighborhood canines that were out on their daily walks. In his younger years, he was an avid bowler and tennis player. His love for sports never diminished and he cherished the time spent with his son, Sean, watching football games together. Ben never met a stranger and made friends effortlessly anywhere he went. He was known for having a big heart and he would do anything for his family and friends. He loved his children and grandchildren more than anything, they were his greatest passion. Ben had an enormous amount of fight in him which resulted in an extra year to be with his family. He is loved and will be dearly missed.
