Edward Clayton Taylor

Edward Clayton Taylor, 66 of Covington, VA passed away Monday, June 10th, 2024 at Chippenham Medical Center in Richmond.

He was born on October 29th, 1957 in Covington, VA. He was the son of the late Clayton A. and Wilma M. Taylor. In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra West Taylor in 2020; sister, Bonnie Taylor Proffitt in 2008.

Mr. Taylor was a veteran of the United States Army and pursued auto mechanics after leaving the Army. He was a certified safety Inspector for the State of Virginia. 

He is survived by his daughter, Heidi Stumeke and her husband John of Altamont, Illinois; a brother, Larry Taylor and his wife, Susie of Chesterfield, VA; a sister, Lisa Ingram and her husband, Mark of Powhatan, VA; nine grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as many great nieces and great nephews; and his beloved dog, BubBub, his constant companion.

At his request, Mr. Taylor has been cremated and his family will have a private service for him at a later date.
