Randolph “Randy” Dalton, 77, of Chesterfield County, Virginia, died peacefully at his home on August 30, 2026, after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Born in Halifax, Virginia on December 12, 1948, Randy was the son of the late Stephen and Jewel Dalton. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as part of the 199th Light Infantry Brigade during the Vietnam War.
Randy was a dedicated husband, father and proud grandfather. He cherished time spent outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or simply working in the yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Delvin.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Donnie; his sons, Shawn (Amanda) and Eric; and his cherished grandson, Stanley. He is also survived by his siblings: Stephen (Lynda), Phillip (Patty), Linda (Ron), Billy (Tina), Janice (Calvin), Wanda, Margaret (Wes) and Lila (Lonny), along with many nieces & nephews.
A service honoring Randy’s life and military service will be held on Thursday, September 10, at 1:00 p.m. at Amelia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia, VA 23002. Interment will follow at a later date.
