Robert Anderson Mann

Robert Anderson Mann Jr., 85, of Richmond, VA passed away on September 7, 2026 after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Virginia Mann, and is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Bishop Mann, sisters Dale Mann Thoren and husband Robert, Jean Mann Chiarizio and several nieces and nephews.

Robert grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee and graduated from Tennessee Tech with an engineering degree. He served his country with two tours in Vietnam as a Captain in the U.S. Army. After leaving the Army, he enjoyed a successful career as the Director of Air Quality for the Virginia EPA until his retirement.

Robert and Barbara enjoyed traveling and took several trips all over the world, including Europe, Iceland and an African safari.
